Anyway here is the price breakdown:

(I would be getting these tests done at this vet regardless of who spays her)
Pre=Surgical Profile 112 CVL $45
Bile Acids Pre & Post Prandial 257 IDEXX $90

IV fluids-Routine Surgery $45
Rimadyl Injection $26
Ovariohysterectomy-spay K9 < 30 lbs $180.00
Anesthesia-Monitoring
Toe nail trim
Surgical Hospitalization
Buprenorphine injection
Rimadyl 25 mg chewable $10.25

Total estimated charges $406.90

I don't know what to do that's a lot of money but I'm not sure what is included in the free spay at the other clinic so I guess maybe I should call and find out what is included. What is generally included in teh cost of a spay?
Ouch! The cost is really high as well! It is definitely a good idea to find out what is included in the free spay (I believe whatever is included should be similar to what is offered at our neuter/spay clinic). The itemized charges you put here are somewhat named differently from those on my list. So I am very confused here. However, I agree with you whatever tests are necessary, you will do them at the vet, regardless of who spays her.

Just for your information, here is the estimate my vet gave me: (my cost will be double, because I have two female puppies)

basic ones --
pre-anesthetic panel - vet test ($40),
QBC in-house ($26),
Cardiopet ECG- Pre-anesthetic ($40),
Rimadyl Blister Pack 25mg ($5),
OHE-K9 <25#-For Group ($80.50),
Isoflurance Anes,--G2 ($65),
IV Catheter-Sx ($20),
injection-pain control <25lbs ($10)

total of 286.50 for basic charges
--with Torb/ace injection (acepromazine injectable, torbugessic 10 mg/ml injectable); propofol induction; pulse Ox-G3, check ears, clean if needed, TNT-courtesy --- free of charge)

Now the options are:

Microchip insertion ($35),
Extracct Deciduous Teeth ($40),
Heartworm/Lyme/E. canis test ($35)

A grand total of $396.50 for each dog if I choose the above options.
