Frontline does repel both. BUT, you can also comb the coat every day, or more often if you have time, with a fine comb. I don't use a flea comb but a fine tooth Belgian metal 4 1/2 inch comb. Pat introduced me to them and I had a terrible time finding them. I order them 6 at a time. I have one in every purse--use it sometimes myself..I think I am calling them right and I buy them from Revival..
