I think the arrangement you've made is good. We left Ozzie gated in the kitchen with bed, toys, water, and papers when he couldn't be supervised. (Ozzie was VERY slow to potty train but a lot of it was MY fault because I didn't have a lot of time during his puppydom to make it work.) |
Sounds like you did the exact same thing with him that we're doing now. Glad to hear it works. I wasn't too keen on the idea of crating him all day and night. The vet tech said her dog is in the crate all day and all night unless he is eating, playing with his family or going to the bathroom. Seemed kind of excessive to me. But who am I to say? I'm clueless, LOL.
