I know there was a post a couple days ago about this and i had posted that I wasn't sure what brand chip Lucy had because she had it implanted before I bought her and it wasn't on any of her papers.

So I emailed the company that she is registered with and they told me that the manufacturer of her microchip was Avid, well Lucy had to get her last vaccinations yesterday so I asked the vet to scan her and tell me what brand chip she had, and the vet said HOME AGAIN.

So now i"m not sure what brand chip she has, I am going to assume that she has the Home Again chip since they did scan her, but is there anyway to find out by just looking at the microchip number of the dog?

The company that said she was an Avid said that there are a series of numbers that determine which brand chip it is but I don't know. Anyway Lucy's microchip is 4948417462

Any help would be great thanks!
