Well if he's anything like mine that could be the reason. I have three big dogs and if we aren't looking and the other two aren't looking Buckwheat (our lab) will sneak over to their bowls and start chowing down. He knows which bowl is his and knows he isn't supposed to be in the others bowls. It is kind of funny to see him sneak over there and then run away when we catch him and tell him no.
