I wouldn't get too wound up likely it is the heat.
In dogs, not just drinking and peeing a lot is a sign of diabetes. A diabetic dog also don't eat as they drink too much to want to eat.
Hot weather can confuse you as they don't eat as much usually and drink more which is likely what we should be doing ourselves.
