 New ... Need the Basics

I'm brand new to this board and need advice. I'm about to turn 59 years old and have wanted a Yorkie forever. I have someone relatively close by in Hooksett, NH ready to part w/two boy pups. Each is $1,000 which is, incidently, the limit I have arbitrarily set since I'm not interested in showing or breeding ... just loving.
What I want to know is the reputation of the seller found on breeders.net - Yorkshire Terrier

AKC registration
Vet's records w/shots and an indication of good health
Guarantee for 1 year against any genetic diseases/chronic medical problems?
