I work 3rd shift too Hi-on my way in to work, haven't read all the threads, but I leave mine alone at nights when husband is out of town. (sometimes up to 6 months at a time). Now I have 3, but have left just one alone. Train them to use wee pads, confine them to a safe tiled area with bed, toys, water, and food, and of course access to their pad and they will be fine. Sleep all night. Leave a nightlight on and I put the "weather channel" from tv with volume down low and they are just fine when I get home in the am. Give them a cuddle, food, and a little attention in the morning, then we all go to bed with momma until my wake up time in the afternoon. The dogs adjust just fine, Don't worry. They get used to my schedule and know what to expect. It is harder on you.
