Tap water is also tested and maintained under strict federal laws and guidelines, unlike bottled water. When I realized this is true, I figured WHY am I spending so much money on something that I don't really know WHERE it came from? So, now I drink tap water (we have a filter too).....most new refrigerators with a water dispenser have filters too, so I think that it's about as good as we can get it. Luckily, we don't live somewhere that the water is bad tasting; my grandparents used to live somewhere that they put sulphur in the water....P. U...and it tasted just as bad, even if it was refrigerated
