Inverted sneezing isn't the end of the world, but is uncomforable to the dog no doubt and irritating if nothing else.
A collapsed or partially collapsed trachea is nothing to sneeze at though! (no pun intended)
Let us know what the check up yields. If it's a trachea issue, it'll be easy to diagnose, so don't worry about your vet missing something on that one. You'll have that answer tomorrow, find some comfort in that.
