Default paw licking intervention

I know that paw licking is related to allergies and we are off prednisone. Latte has good food that has no wheat, corn, poultry, but I sometimes put a bit of beef on top. Do I need to eliminate that also to counteact the paw licking? Does anyone have anything to put on the paws to make her feel better? I use 1% hydrocotisone on the unreachable spots. Has anyone tried that? I don't think she should be licking it. Does anyone think that low dose prednisone is ever ok? I'm thinking of buying her some veggie burgers to put on top. What do you think, gals?

PS I know there are some high desert yorkie lovers out there....does your furbaby have allergies? who is your vet? What do you do to combat the Lick Monster?
