and remember, the size of the stud doesn't really mean that much. You must look at the grandparents, great grandparents.. My advice would be go to some shows and speak with the breeder/exhibitors there in your area and get their advice. One last thing, there are no toy Yorkies, just Yorkies.. Please don't take what I'm saying as harsh, I'm just another one of those passionate Yorkie lovers that believe in only breeding when it's done to improve the breed. |
Tegamom is right. Go to a show, take your gal and her pedigree, talk to some of the exhibitors, see if there's a male there that you may be interested in. Be ready to answer alot of questions and have some educated questions ready to ask. This is an important decision so make it carefully. If you're unable to breed until her next heat it wouldn't be the end of the world. Better to do it right or not at all.
