I think it's a good idea for you to get another one, if you're ready. I lost my little girl 2 1/2 weeks ago, and it still hurts. I am awaiting another puppy who will be born in a couple weeks. I don't know of any other way to heal, I guess it just takes time. I just try to remember the happier memories.
