My sister-in-law-to-be uses Pro Plan and she's worked for 2 different vets and is going to vet school ... don't guess that matters how the food works for her dog though. Well, Abby's about the shiniest dog I've ever seen. I think Pro Plan is fine if your pup's doing well eating it. As long as the first ingredient isn't corn or corn something or another, but instead is meat, and the protein level is 20-25%, it should be good. Avoid beet products though -- it's just a stool hardener, which a yorkie doesn't seem to need. Protein comes in many forms, and the highly digestible, quality protein is the most important thing in a puppy's diet. There are a lot of fillers that provide protein, but not a highly digestable kind.
