It's hard for me to control my emotions too. I usually get REALLY mad and then I get really sad. What I do to try to be professional is Thank the person and try to make a quick dash to the bathroom. Try to think of something that makes you really happy, wait until you get home and cry if you feel like you have to. Sometimes that's what it takes to be over it. Just try to think that things could be worse.
