I honestly wish you luck in whatever you decide. But just think about it.

I guess more than anything I'm just glad that I didn't have the same expectations as you. Size wasn't even on my mind when I first saw Ozzie.

At 11 weeks, he already weighed 3.3 pounds. He was a typical, all-over-the-place puppy that I just KNEW was going to squirm out of my arms the second I held him. But he didn't. He nestled quietly in the crook of my arm, moving only to nuzzle his head farther up my shoulder. And when I asked him if he was "lovey," he kissed me. Melted my heart on the spot.

I expected that he would be smart, somewhat aloof, and probably 7 pounds like my first Yorkie. Of all those things, I really wanted him to be smart. As it turns out, he is NONE of those things.

He is not the brightest bulb in the pack. Like you, I had my moments of disappointment over that. But, he definitely has his moments that more than make up for it? Aloof? NO WAY! This is my personal shadow. And 7 pounds? Try 7 pounds TIMES TWO.

You have a right to feel however you want. But I can tell you that you may be robbing yourself of a really great experience. I know I sure would have been had I let Ozzie's Forrest Gump IQ sway me. The thing is, much like Forrest, Ozzie is so innocent and sweet and loving and loyal.

It's 10 years later, and I wouldn't have him any other way.
