Minksheen is a shampoo that many of the members on here use which has a natural insect repellant, but if you don't like that....There are many homemade sprays that you can mix up and spray on your dog before you take him outside. One is lemon juice and rosemary steeped for 15 hours in hot water...Another is using oils like tea tree oil and such diluted in water.
Also, adding a little bit of a clove or garlic to their food and sprinkling nutritional yeast on their food is also helpful. What kind of food do you feed?
