reputable breeders spend lots of money on testing, their breeding stock (i hate calling it that), and many other things. i feel if you get a cheap one, then something isn't right. now i am sure there are plenty of cute yorkies out there that are cheap but they don't fit the standard of the breed this is why the sell for cheap. and this has been the problems with yorkshire terriers being overbred and not keeping to the standard. there are so many yorkies out there that don't even look like yorkies. this is not to say if they don't fit the standard they are not good pets but we need to keep the breed to the standard.

girl, I just soldd one a LOT cheaper than that and have another cheap one, too. LOL. i know what you are saying tho. I see 300-400 yorkies in the paper here everyday but i have also seen the quality of some of these yorkies. problem round here is people don't know the difference. All that look at is a cheap dog. i didn't give under a thousand for any of mine and usually sell minee much higher but i did have these two that I am selling cheap on a limited contract.
