Ooo I just started laptop shopping too! I have a compaq that's about 3 years old and the hard drive crashed in January and nothing was recoverable.. even all my baby pictures of Layla are gone! My friend put a new hard drive in for me but in the meantime somehow my speakers and cd drive stopped working!
I think I am going to get a Dell Inspiron. They're pretty cheap and you can customize whatever you want on it... and they come in really cute colors!!! I think I'm going to get a yellow one!
