Just letting you know that for Duke's loose nail the vet. cut the nail very short so he would not walk on it, gave him a prednisone shot so he would lick at it less and leave it alone to it can secure itself and heal up, and put him in clindamycin drops just in case the redness/swelling was an infection (he had small temp., just about .5 over the normal). He has a check-up in a week and 24 hours after the vet. visit he is doing much better.
