Hard lesson learned for you - you really can't trust kids that young with dogs.

What I'd do now if I were you is have the 2 kids give Sugar some yummy treats. Then, I'd keep Sugar separated from them for a while. Then, I'd repeat the process several times so that Sugar decides kids = yummy treats.
