Hey - I have one of those portable grooming tables and on top of my dryer from Pets Edge - do you have the one that is pink? I use that for Izzy all the time and she is finally getting used to me grooming her on it and doing her top knot. I use the small latex bands and then put her little bow or clip in. At first she would then proceed to roll around the carpet but now after a few weeks she has gotten used to it being in her hair. This portable grooming table was one of the best investments I made - really does help with the grooming and combing that's for sure.
