I think you should keep him in the crate. It is probably the best place for him and your potty training efforts.
It's not usual for the puppy to cry in the crate. If you give him something with your scent on it and do not yield to his crying, he will get over it. However, if you yield to his crying, the crying will get worse and worse. |
