Question New puppy in the house

Ok, we brought a new Rat terrier puppy(Casey) home last night. Our 3 yr old female yorkie Bella was very good with her last night, but this morning is a different subject. She will let the new puppy sniff and get close, but if she does not leave when Bella thinks she should Bella starts to growl. She does not show her teeth, or go after the puppy, she just makes noise. She has been around lots of other dogs before, but never one this young since she was that age. Do we just leave them alone and let them be and only interject when we think there might be trouble, or do we step in sooner? Also do we need to show extra affection and praise to the current dog so she doesn't feel left out or just treat her like nothing has changed?

Thanks
Amy
