 Scooters sick. Need advice
Scooter got his last set of shots on Friday. Sunday afternoon he started spitting up and has continued to do so several times since. He is still eating and drinking and otherwise seems ok. I took him to the vet yesterday and he checked him out, no fever, did a fecal check, checked his gums and doesn't know what's going on. He doesn't spit up a lot, maybe a teaspoon at a time. I kept food from him yesterday and made some chicken and rice for him to try in small doses today. The vet put him on Amoxicillan just in case there is an infection, and he gave me (can't remember the name) the stuff for hypoglycemia. The vet doesn't seem to think it has anything to do with the shots and that he probably picked up something in the yard and ate it (you know, little vacuum cleaners that they are). Any suggestions? If he continues spitting up today, I'll need to take him back for fluids. He's lost 2 oz. since they weighed him on Friday. |
