Default thoughts on show puppy

I tried to post this earlier, but didnt see it post, so I will write it again.(sorry) I spent years trying to buy a "show" puppy. None of them panned out and after many disappointments, I finally found the right one. He came from a very experienced breeder and has some of the best show and show producers and BOTH sides of the pedigree. He was much more expensive than the original hopefuls I purchased (2 grand) and worth EVERY penny. I showed him until he was 14 months and had a blast!!! Then I sent him with a handler the breeder recommened. He was a champion in 4 months. I missed him EVERY day!! The handler is a top handler in Yorkies and her price reflects it too. BUT, she could show him to his championship faster and cheaper than I ever could. She is the expert, I am not. I dont regret anything. I was looking for a show dog and one that could improve the quality of my puppies. I think that these 2 goals are very important when deciding on purchasing a show dog. Yes, I have breeding restrictions, but I think thats good because I dont want the years of HARD work of this breeder ruined in one generation of careless, indescriminate breeding. Good luck finding your puppy!!! Lynn
