Trying to keep Susanah from jumping is like trying to keep the starving tiger from eating the steak you just put in front of him.
We had one of those 4inch memory foam mattress pad things on our bed. I made DH take it off and cut in half so that half of it is on the floor on each side of the bed.
I HATE having hardwood floors. We have them in every room. I like having the extra cushy carpet. More protection.
