We had Stella spayed July 6 and they removed 9 teeth. I would suggest having the pre-surgery blood panel prior. She couldn't have anything to eat or drink after 12:00 pm. Her incision was stitches on the inside and glued outside so I was cautioned to not let her lick or she could open it. I followed the advise of another YTer and bought some onesies, put it on so it would snap up over her tail so she couldn't lick. I removed it every few hours so she could pee and poo. Since she doesn't like clothes she didn't try to jump around while it was on which was another advantage. Since she had the teeth taken out I ran her kibble through the food processor for a few days and mixed it with canned food and a little water. She did great and I'm sure your little one will also. I can relate because I was scared also.
