The personal information posted! OMG, someone else mentioned this and said how it was unfair if it turned out they didn't have Zeke and you've posted all this stuff about them and that person was then slandered! Certain people needed to go back and read this post... what she said I agree with 100%. Yes, we all are praying for Zeke's safe return but why do we need to be publicly, not only nationally but internationally, relay information on them? Photos of their homes, addresses... is all that really neccessary... there is NO substanial proof that these people have Zeke. Someone saying he saw a simliar looking dog and then a small child saying it was such and such a dog is not substanial - no matter how bad the look was the father gave the child! Which, btw, Maureen originally said was as if to tell the kid to be quiet, it got changed to look that could kill somewhere through the thread!
Stating that the police are useless, lazy, disinterested... hang on, they have jobs to do... as much as we all have to admit it, someones dog, whether it be living in the yard or in the home as a family member, will always be looked upon in the eyes of the law as just what it is... a dog. I'm not saying this is right or wrong but I do think that it is wrong of the amount of people that have said it is just as much as a priority as finding murderers, rapists, child aducters, etc.... I'm sorry, but how on earth does this compare?? They are or a completely different and more serious nature. How would you feel if a member of your family was murdered and the police didn't respond ASAP because they were dealing with a missing dog? Not too happy I'd imagine.
Yes, Zeke is a much loved and missed family member and I'm not disputing that with my previous comments... I'm stating how it is seen in the laws eyes as still just a missing dog and as Zeke wasn't taken from Maureen's property then it's not theft, the dog was found and not handed in, it's different and by no means anywhere near being the same. Again, I'm not stating that this is my opinion or indeed fair by any means. I'd be just as torn up as Maureen if my Gypsy was missing and someone had her... by no means is she just a dog to me.
My last point is that it turned out the houses that were being watched were not where Zeke was being held... in fact, Maureen was told by a neighbour of one that an elderly couple lived there who were both fraile and suffered from Altzehiemers and frequently falls... talk about vunerable people! There was everyone all set and ready to go jumping the fences into these peoples yards! I'm sure the police would of looked kindly on that. |
Boy I sure hope you feel a lot better,!!!!!! ,this is a very long post, and you only managed to pull up all the bad things, so many good things are happening, and no child has ever been questioned, or followed period!!!!! The child we are talking about is 12 years old. Did you forget to read the posts that said keep the children out of everything, this is a job for the police and professionals, we are all really trying to keep this post positive, and Maureen spirits up. I don't know of one single person who has been harassed, or even spoken to in a way of being accused of anything. We are all just sharing thoughts and Ideas, and nothing bad has ever happened to anyone as a result of this thread. Not one Person has been accused. And I will tell you that yes we have a right to be upset about not hearing anything from the police, the least they could do is let us know that they are not available so we could go else where for help. We all pay our taxes which support the police force, and believe it or not they do owe us an explanation as to why they can not even answer a simple call or return a call. We are not in NY, this Modesto, a very small town, with not a lot going on. We could have been referred to someone else, surly their is just not one officer that we have to use in this case. They have caused us to try to solve this case from afar, and do what ever we can think of to get ZEKE back because they can not even return a phone call. So try to climb down from your high horse, and be fair to the whole thread before you start pointing fingers, we are doing the best we can to stay positive and give support, your post has done nothing at all to do anything but tell us we are a bunch of jerks. Sorry if I can not take your post seriously as you just do not know what the heck you are talking about!!!!!!!!! Sorry you have not something better to do than bad mouth a group of people who have been forced to do the work and finance outside help to get this puppy home. If the police were on board. We would not have to go to extreme measures. We are all just trying to find something anything to help bring ZEKE home. No address have ever been posted just areas of interest, and not one person has been harassed, or followed, or questioned. So until that happens, I wouldn't worry quite so much, and try to focus on all the good that is coming from the post. We will get this case solved, with or without the police, so until you know the whole story, please just keep your negitive thoughts to yourself.
Talking about things to let off steam, and actually doing them are two different things, a lot of what we were saying was in a joking matter, like cutting wires, and hollering fire, to get everyone out of their house. Believe me we were not serious. If anything has actually happened to warrant your negitive accusations then please keep them to yourself. No one has ever been harassed or harmed in any way because of our posts. Sorry you can not see the good in anything that has happened because of a lot of loving and caring people coming in from all parts of the world to offer support, gifts, love, and understanding of what we are all going through to get this case solved.
