ABSOLUTELY!!! I had three females that wanted to practically kill each other, especially when in heat! I 'alpha dogged' them (as mentioned above) and now when I say stop, they stop! You will probably have to do it several times before they completely quit, but it does work.
Mine play really well with each other now, but every once in while, you'll begin to see and recognize that 'look' in their eyes and you can stop it before it even begins. Note: When you lay them on their side and hold them down, bury your face in their neck and growl really loud. It's might sound crazy, but they'll respond.
Don't give up! Hang in there and catch it when it starts. Get your husband to do the same thing with the other.
DO NOT let them up until they stop struggling and acknowlege you as the boss (or Alpha).
