The Isinis Brush is made in Italy and is what I use on puppies and it is easier on the mats. It doesn't pull on the hair so the puppies like it much better. You get the one without the balled tips. You can read some reviews at
http://www.zooscape.com/cgi-bin/mait...i/questp401039 It will work for a silk coat too, but I use my CC brush (
http://www.chrissystems.com/brushes.htm) for them because of the static control effect. You only need the shorter pins (20mm) with a silk coat as there is not much distance between the coat and the skin, but a cotton coat might need the medium (27mm). When it talks about short coat and furnishings it is talking about the distance between the hair from the skin not the length to the ground. I love both brushes! Someone sent this pix in the other day
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...7-28-07019.jpg The brush on the table is a short pin gold series which is great if you are not keeping your dog in oil. The oil will wear off the gold over time. If your dog tends to be sensitive when you brush her either should work but the Isinis Brush is the most gentle. You can get the Isinis in pocket size and I use it when I travel. I use it for pre-bath brushing for the dog shows. The CC brush is also available in the pocket size.

Hope this helped,
