problems Treat the ground for hooks...run all adults on a course of albon whether they test positive or not...chlorox all concrete areas..
I agree about size. I would take my best girls and bred each or several to terrific studs of a good size 6/7 pounds min...keep solid bitches from them... keep the girls who may run a 6 to 8 pounds...I do not freak over a compact bitch over 7 pounds and neither do any other show breeders.
Then I would breed them back to smaller stud of no more the 5 pounds..4 would be better...it sounds contradictive, but works well for me.
How many pups do you have in the litters of pups when you lose one?
When each tiny is born I would put a drop of Nutra DROPS on the tongue..not Nutra-CAL...it is liquid..go very slow and..use your finger with a tiny bit, do not use the dropper..more or less just rubbing it on the tongue. I would tube the tinies a bit after nursing..you can go by how full the belly looks..
An old English Yorkie breeder used to tell me to use the blood from beef liver...I did that for bitches..a Tspoon a day for ones who did not eat well..I have used it with small pups...but added it to the tube...maybe it helped, maybe a vet would say NO...mine agreed, but he was 75 yrs old..LOL
One basic fact...Yorkie puppies are more fragile and take more care then Cockers and Poodles... |
