When you say forced on a plane, I'm confused?? It's not a forced option when they are trying to get your puppy to you. You do have other options if you are worried about the puppy flying in cargo. Most airlines take really good care of pets that are flying. You can buy a ticket early before the pup is ready and meet the breeder at the airport. This way the puppy can go in carrier and sit with you. If not, It is up to the breeder to make sure the puppy is comfortable in the fly on carrier. Our breeder put a blanket inside that Kodak was use to sleeping on and his favorite toy. There was also a water dish and some food so he was pretty comfortable. The flight was only an couple of hours. My Kodak came from Oklahoma and was flown in to Chicago, and they say he slept the entire flight. Instead of having my female flown in, I drove 4 hours total to pick her up. I've even read where some breeders take the dog to the vet right before the flight to get them a mild sedative for traveling. A lot of people don't agree with flying pups, but I had a good experience. Hope this helps and good luck with your new puppy.
