One, or two? Ness and I lived for most of his puppyhood with three guy roommates. As you can imagine, three 19 - 20 year old males can keep a puppy busy. Now he's 1.5 years, and it's just the two of us in our apartment. I can't really keep up, he has the energy to play with four people instead of just one. My mom came to visit and thinks the solution is another dog. "He needs a puppy of his own!" she says.
But Ness and I are really close. We are best friends and you can just tell how he feels about me. I wouldn't want to lessen that bond. So I'm hesitant to consider another dog at all, someone who might come between us.
However, there is a woman looking for a home for her yorkie girl. Another 3 pound yorkie, what a find right? But... I'm leaning towards no. I'm a student, the cost of another dog will be quite a bit more than just Ness and I. But I know he would get all the playtime he deserves... |
