I have had my nail techs license for 13 yrs. I owned my own salon for 8 (I don't do nails anymore but, still have them done.) My suggestion would be to have the built in french. They still use tips on the nail (or you could have a form put on your natural nail and they could build the tip). They should use a very bright white on for the tip of the nail and make a nice sharp "C curve". Then use a natural pink on the nail bed. If this is done correctly you have a really pretty french manicure. Painting or, airbrushing, a french manicure is ok but it can wear off. Having a built in french will never wear off. Every other fill in they would do a back fill and redo the tips as they will grow out. Good Luck and please post a pic when they are done. I am curious to see what method they use.
