My Rajay has the same problem. I cleanse in the morning and at night, but I still get the red dye on the cotton swab. I refuse to give her anything with red dye anymore but she still has the rediness in the hair under the eye when I clean. I don't want to give her pills to clean this area and I will keep looking for natural remedies, starting tomorrow I will try the distilled water to see if that works. My new puppy Jayra does not have this problem, but he has not had any treats with red dye. I clean his eyes in the morning and it just sleep from the night. Good Luck
