I've done this myself a bunch of times over the years - but my problem is I've always lost something in transferring my data - and I've got SO much now I don't want to take any chances -

Backing up to DVD seems to be a great way to do it and I didn't realize we could use DVD's this way cause I don't watch them LOL - I have one on my computer but used it once I think -

A normal system restore is very easy to do - it's the prep work that's a pain on the butt.
