I have a Dell laptop too that I've had for about 6 or 7 years...and have never really had any problem with it. Other than it being pretty darned heavy, but it's got everything on it.
I heard when Vista first came out, that some of the older (meaning, not BRAND NEW) computers would have a hard time with it, but I don't think it's an issue at all with new computers.
I think most of them are ok; I know people who have Toshibas, Sonys, etc...but I do hear that the people who have Mac's LOVE THEM!!!
