I think dreams do have a purpose. They allow our brain to work through all of the stuff of life. Sometimes, that stuff gets mixed up with things we hear or see. I know there have been times if I see something on TV that shook me, a part of that will end up in a dream or nightmare, usually totally out of context! I know, sometimes they seem so real and it takes all day to convince yourself that they are not real.
