If there are 3 or 4 clubs each with their own registry, what happens if I mate my dam with a sire that isn't registered with your registry? Will I have to register now with 2 American registeries? Are you restricted to using dams or sires that are with your registry only?

If the purpose of developing a registry is in preparation for the "studbook", there is differences in opinions about the Biewers, splitters, breeding back to Yorkies, etc. so how are all these different registeries going to unite towards
AKC acceptance?

Dual registration with Germany at this time will add credibility to American registeries. JMHO.
Dee, the registries in Germany all honor one another. That being said, with our registry will will accept anyone that will follow the paperwork we request and the DNA testing that is required. Members or non-members. But what we will only register is a dog that is an offspring of Biewer to Biewer breeding. That's what our club promotes. We think that this is the future for the Biewer in this country and the studbooks should reflect that. I can't speak for the other registeries as to how they will handle each other, I know that our objective is to eventually have a nice data base so these guys get acredited here and not involved with negativity as has been happening recently. These guys are just too nice to fade away...
