My brother owns a pitbull mix. She is the sweetest dog EVER! you can trust her with dogs, kids, anyone... but my brother worked HARD at making her that way! He took NO crap from her at all and was not afraid to 'rule with a heavy hand' so to speak. She pretty much ignores everything BUT my brother haha honestly though, Im really starting to get nervous about attacks. My moms dog got attacked just 2 days ago and she is in ICU with stitches from her neck to her tail to repair her spinal column and they are worried about infection due to a belly puncture from the other dog. This was just because they took a morning stroll while on leashes in their own neighborhood. Just NOT fair! |
I am so sorry about your mother's dog. It's not fair for us to be fearful of going for a walk because some irresponsible dog owner cant keep their dog on a leash.
And I agree that if you take the time and train any dog properly, they can be loving and great family dogs. However, most people see pit bills as 'the fighting dog' and it is really ashame.
