Another idea woudl be going back to crate training for a month or two. Do a search for "house breaking" and crate training on this site...there are a lot of threads.

Excellent advise. Also, since your pup has eliminated on your carpet, if it isn't 100% cleaned and odor free your Yorkie will continue to return to the carpet.
In no way am I an expert and I know you were asking for "expert" advise, but hope this helps a little.
