I agree with the last comment made by tjdmom...Don't make eye contact with the dog or call it...After awhile, it will acknowledge you. You may want to try holding a treat out in your hand, but don't look at the dog. Good luck!! This will be a slow process, but keep at it. It's important to be patient.
P.S. The statement that generally speaking yorkies don't like men is not true at all. I have yet to meet a yorkie that does not like men. None of the yorkies in my family are that way. They love everyone.
