I read a lot about dog training from the guy who owns leerburg kennels - he raises and trains german shepherd dogs. He has actually testified several times in court cases about these dog attacks and such.

It's so stupid becuase most of the time these things are easily prevented.

Beyond the simple "fence your dog in" - by letting more than one dog run together wild like that it increases their pack drive making them more aggressive.

It's really bad around here becuase people let their dogs go "back to the wild" and release them in the country areas. They pack up and go CRAZY! We had a pack of feral dogs chase some calves through the fence last week and my brother in law had to stake out the cow pasture - he shot two of them before they could kill any of the calves but there were over a half dozen he said. Very dangerous!

Letting multiple big breeds run unsupervised throughout the neighborhood is the absolute worst thing you can do.

Scary!
