It's very different in Europe...a dog isn't allowed to compete until 18 months of age. Here it is very different, 6 months of age is when some bring out a dog. Strictly for training, that is unless you have an exceptional pup that begins obtaining points at that age. If you begin pointing a pup it's usually done on structure, once they get a certain age and they are competing then the coat factors in.
