I'd call your vet about the Benadryl...and make sure you're using the kids' dye free kind, just in case. It's bubble gum flavored!

Emma has seasonal allergies, mostly in the summer/fall season and we too use benadryl for them. I believe she got about 1/2 tsp every 6-8 hours, and she was about 5 lbs. then. But, check the dosage with your vet. I think it's ok if you give them a little more than they need, or a little more frequently than 6 hours if they're really not feeling well, but she will probably be hyper first, then sleepy. Call your vet in the AM to make sure you've got the dosage and timing right.

A friend of mine uses the little Benadryl dissolvable strips on her Boston-you might try those too. I think they're easier for them to take than liquid.
Hey Suzy! thanks so much! small problem with my vet is he wil want her on meds... and i don't want to do that until i've tried this first, so i hesitate to call him just yet... he is old school and i'm just not.. lol... it is the bubble gum flavour.. lol. but you should have seen her face when i squirted it in her mouth... lol.. she seemed fine after.. i'll give her more in the morning.. i got my dosage off of here... and it seemed to be the concensus that it was 1 ml per 5 lbs and i gave her a little less anyways.. lol.. i was nervous! i have a feeling a bug got her.. i just can't find the bite! i hope it goes away soon my poor girl
