Oh it's not that bad. The IV isn't bad at all...they are pretty small needles. Just a little initial tingly prick, but then you don't even feel it...for the whole 5seconds after that you are awake.
They really didn't hurt that bad afterwards either...you just have to eat and chew REALLY slowly.
Just don't wait until they actually start your anesthesia and ask if you can keep your teeth.

When I finally had my senses about me later that night, my dad came in and was like, "Oh yeah, here's your teeth!"
