I had a tape recorder back in the day that use to eat all my tapes. I was still able to play them even if tape was taped (lol) or they were extremely crinkled. The tape should be fine if you put it in a different VCR. It should still play it just may have a bit of feedback. Sorry it happened to your sonogram tape
