When Dunks was a puppy I used the harness from petco, they come in different sizes (S, M, L - I believe) -

Now, my Dunks uses this harness called SPORN. It stops for the dugs to pull YOU while you walk them... It's been very helpful since it has a color which you can leave on, you just have to take off the part that goes under his leg that attaches to the leash... it looks complicated, but its really not...
