So sorry to hear this. These things can happen so quickly and it's hard to even imagine unless you've been in that situation. I was recently walking my 2 dogs and a german shepard charged out at us. I have thought about it so often having read so many threads and I always thought that I would do this or that but it just happened so fast that I couldn't get my hands of Zoe by the time he was at us. She of course thinks she's a rottweiler which makes things worse. Lucky for us, the shepard was interested in my collie who is much more able to take care of herself and they just sniffed each other and things were fine and of course I was finally able to get my hands on my little rottweiler wanna be. I was shaking and my heart was about ready to beat out of my chest. Thank goodness things worked out for me but I guess I just wanted to say that these things can happen so quickly and it's just so sad as there really is almost nothing you can do
